This course provides a comprehensive overview of the catalog and glossary capabilities in Ataccama ONE v15.1. Participants will learn how to effectively use the catalog to organize, enrich, and share metadata for better data understanding. Topics covered include: Introduction to the Ataccama ONE web application UI; Searching and finding information efficiently; Understanding the data catalog features for organizing and sharing metadata; Registering and managing data sources like databases or files; Using data profiling to analyze and understand data in sources; Creating catalog items to share customized views of data; Adding glossary terms to catalog items to define business meaning; Building lineage between catalog items to understand relationships; Annotating items with comments for collaboration and governance; Configuring user access to catalog items for sharing across teams; Creating reports and KPIs to centralize insights and metrics. This course includes hands-on exercises in a demo Ataccama ONE environment to provide practical experience with the catalog, glossary, and metadata management features. At completion, participants will be able to effectively use the catalog and glossary to deliver trusted data products to data consumers throughout the organization.
